Klaus Wagensonner has tested our fast/auto capture technique in the Louvre and produced this nice document explaining how to do it. This uses the lights controller to trigger the camera rather than driving them both from a laptop. We put this second program into the lights controller hoping to one day compare it against the usual method. The main snag is that the AVR controller has no real way to tell if the camera has completed a photo – so there has to be some fixed waiting time between frames.
I just put a new page up about dome4 – which we made for the Louvre’s tablet imaging campaign.
